DIY Salad Dressings Workshop

Monday, June 19 at 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

 

 

Join us for a demonstration and learning on how to create nutritious salad dressings

that are health supportive and you can feel good about. We will talk about healthy oils,

vinegars, and how you can pack a dressing with many healing foods like raw garlic,

fresh herbs and local honey.

Cost: $10  This includes:
- A demonstration on how to make healthy salad dressings
- Salad dressing tastings
- A salad dressing to take home with you
- Instructions on how to put together healthy salads in mason jars

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Clinton County is offering home

canning classes at Shady Grove Farm and Wellness Center. The

classes will focus on boiling water bath canning, following approved

recipes, and outlining basic canning safety.  Master Preservers,

Eileen Longware and Judy French will be instructing, along with

fellow Master Preserver Karen Bouchard-Braun.

SOUP 101

What is better on a cold winter's day than a steamy bowl of soup?

Join us at Shady Grove Farm on Friday, January 22 for SOUP 101.

We will make and enjoy 3 types of soup and a basic vegetable stock.

There will also be opportunity to share ideas for modifying and adapting

recipes to meet seasonal availability.

 

There is a $5 charge for this class to cover the cost of materials.

Registration ends Monday 1/18/16 and all attendees must pre register.
